Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for the Police Officer position is a community-focused professional who embraces a collaborative approach to law enforcement. In addition to these attributes, the ideal candidate is a critical thinker, will communicate effectively, and will demonstrate sound judgement under pressure. Sufficient education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities which would typically be acquired through: Minimum of 21 years of age. Salary Range Police Officer Trainee: $128,668.80 Annually Police Officer Academy Graduate: $134,388.80 - $173,700.80 Annually Police Officer Lateral: $134,388.80 - $173,700.80 Annually *Placement within this range is dependent upon the qualifications.
