Combination of education and experience equivalent to (2) two years of college preferred but not required. Prior law enforcement experience preferred. Must have completed a POST Basic Academy, and be eligible to receive a POST Basic Certificate within one year of hire. PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must pass pre-employment physical with back x-ray. School district will assume responsibility for the cost of physical for the successful candidate; ability to successfully complete the minimum POST agility requirements; while performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to perform heavy lifting (over 50 pounds); stand and walk for extended periods of time; bend at the waist; climb, crawl and kneel; reach, push, pull and carry items; climb ladders; use hands to operate equipment, and see to observe and drive from site to site; may be exposed to adverse weather conditions APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Application must include current updated resume, 2 letters of recommendation (physically signed AND dated within the last 3 years), all required certification documents/degrees and a letter of intent.
