This opportunity is intended for applicants without a Colorado POST Certification (Non-Certified) . Candidates who are extended an offer of employment will have the opportunity to attend POST Academy with tuition paid for by our Office, and will be paid by the LCSO while attending. Offers from this eligibility list will be made to top candidates based on vacancies, funding, and academy seats available. This eligibility list does not guarantee that an open position will become available within a year's time. Salary Information : Patrol Recruits start at the Step 1 - Deputy Non-Certified pay rate of $36.04/hour. After graduation of the POST Academy, deputies will be moved to the Step 1 - Deputy Certified pay rate of $39.65/hour. What do we have to offer? What you'll be doing : Provide law enforcement duties, including protection of citizens and crime prevention, while maintaining security and preserving order. May perform duties of the Deputy Non-Certified if assigned to the Jail.
