Applicants must be eligible to meet all the requirements established by POST Council and the Ansonia Police Department including, at a minimum, that all Non-Certified candidates successfully complete a written exam (CPCA), oral board examination, physical agility (C.H.I.P.), thorough background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological interview, medical examination including drug screening, and a Chief's interview.
