Certified Officers, with a minimum of two years of certification, start at Grade A - $91,831 per year and one week of vacation upon successful completion of field training (Effective 07/01/2025). Entry level hires start at Grade C - $73,024 per year. After one year, Grade B - $82,589 per year, and after two years, Grade A - $91,831. All candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination, oral interview, the current P.O.S.T physical assessment and a Chief's interview. In addition, candidates must successfully pass a background investigation, polygraph, psychological and medical examination including drug screening.
