This position will be located at the Noxubee County Parole and Probation office. This Journey-level law enforcement position is more technical in nature than the first level but still involves patrolling and enforcing relevant laws within its jurisdiction. This position will be responsible for the supervision of a caseload of approximately 120 probationers and parolees. Maintains records; assesses risk levels of probationers, parolees, and those sentenced to house arrest. Coordinates re-entry services and treatment with program coordinators. Work is performed under direct supervision of law enforcement staff/personnel of higher classifications. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Must be able to abide by the MS State Personnel Board and MDOC rules, regulations, and procedures governing the agency and ensure the safety, security, and order of the facility. Must be able to operate in accordance with state and federal laws.

Typically requires possession of a State of Mississippi Law Enforcement Professional Certification and 1-2 years of experience in law enforcement. — Hiring Agency Preferred Qualifications: Requires possession of a State of Mississippi Law Enforcement Professional Certification and one (1) to two (2) years of experience in law enforcement. A GED/High School Diploma.
