Police Officer

The City of Bowling Green Police Department has an immediate opening for a police officer. Applicants must be in good health and be able to successfully complete a high-level training program. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, be a graduate or have an equivalent high school diploma (GED), possess a valid Missouri driver’s license, and possess a valid Missouri Class A P.O.S.T. certificate. Starting salary is $16.00 per hour during Probationary Period and a pay increase to $16.50, there is also a .50 cent pay differential for night shift. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and must pass a drug screen. Applicant’s duties will include but not be limited to enforcing all state, federal, and local laws. Have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Applicants must preform routine patrol duties, conduct investigations, and respond to emergency calls. Shifts will include but not be limited to 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off.
