The City of Forsyth, located in scenic Taney County, Missouri, is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. We are located just 15 minutes from entertainment mecca Branson. Who are we looking for? We are seeking career-minded applicants who are looking for a law enforcement position on a police department with a family-like atmosphere. What qualifications are we looking for? Minimum qualifications include high school graduate or GED, at least 21 years of age, Class A or B Missouri POST certification, valid Missouri driver’s license, no pending or felony convictions or domestic violence-related misdemeanor convictions. Candidates should possess the ability to follow directives from supervisors, be able to enforce city ordinances and state laws and effectively respond to calls for service. What do we offer? Starting wage is $19.50 per hour plus generous benefits. Employee benefits include paid vacation, 96 hours of paid holidays, 80 hours of earned sick time, department paid training, LAGERS retirement program and employer-paid health insurance.
