Minimum qualifications: • Applicants must be 21 years of age or reach their 21st birthday at the time of employment • Current enrollment in a State of Missouri POST-approved police academy or Missouri POST Class A certification • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Valid driver’s license, and U.S. citizenship. The selection process includes oral interviews, writing skill assessment, extensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, pre-employment physical, and drug screen exams. The Maplewood Police Department participates in the Missouri LAGERS L-11 (2.5 % under this program to which you are vested after five years of service) retirement fund.
