We are seeking POST certified individuals who are seeking a rewarding, fulfilling, and long-term career with a progressive Sheriff’s Office. Responsibilities: Sheriff’s Deputies both paid and reserve, are responsible for the basic law enforcement operations, civil process, and any other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Deputy Sheriffs have the responsibility to enforce Missouri State law, Osage County orders/resolutions, respond to calls for service, enforce traffic regulations, conduct initial and follow-up investigation of criminal offenses, protect life and property and maintain peace within Osage County. Other functions of the Deputy Sheriffs are designated by the Patrol Lieutenant, Sheriff or the Sheriff’s Captain. The Deputy Sheriffs report directly to the Patrol Sergeant.
